Wired has contacted more than 70 companies, from electronics to coffee companies, asking if they could share details on potential price increases on imported products. The vast majority, like Garmin, Oura, Amazon, Logitech, OnePlus and Steelcase, refused to comment, while others said it was too early to discuss prices. However, some companies have responded.

The furniture brand at the Popular Home Office, Branch, has said that it has been preparing for trade policy changes for some time, finding efficiency gains in its supply chain to absorb the impact of prices with a minimum price increase. The company claims that there is a lot of uncertainty: “Frankly, we may need to adjust certain prices in the coming months, especially for products from countries where tariff rates are considerably higher than expected.” The branch says that if there is a price change, it will be to protect the margins rather than extend them. It should be noted that Branch’s ergonomic chair, long recommended in the best Wired office chairs guide, was $ 339 but is now $ 359, although the branch indicates that the price has been adjusted before the prices are announced.
The DRIP Moccamaster coffee maker says that it can absorb “certain short -term pressures at the American level”, although it is too early to confirm whether prices will increase. The ratio of manufacturers of coffee machines based in Portland claims that it maintains the stable prices until April, but “the high prices will unequivocally force the higher – very high retail prices. We are a small business that already had trouble increasing costs. ”

Supernote, a company that makes digital notebooks, stressed a statement that she made on Reddit. It implements a price increase in the United States by the end of April: “We actively adjust our supply chain to mitigate the long-term impact of these prices,” said the company on Reddit. “These adjustments take time, especially with the new prices that strike everything, from people to penguins, which makes the situation more complicated. It will be a difficult period.”
The company behind the smart bird feeders of brands like Harymor and Sehmua, says that it explores strategies to absorb internal costs, without price adjustments – “We are faced with increasing expenses that directly affect our beneficiary margins. … We recognize the competitive nature of the market and the sensitivity to the prices of our customers.”
Meanwhile, Samsung has not yet responded to our request for comments, but the company told Reuters that prices do not affect its televisions as much because most are produced in Mexico.
We will continue to add brands information as we receive them. Although it is too early to make a final declaration on a constantly evolving situation, we can probably expect higher prices on almost everything if the tariff situation remains unchanged. The last thing we want is that everyone is buying, but if you need a new phone, a mechanical keyboard or an air purifier, you should probably start to search now.
Updated on April 8: we have added new information on the latest prices in China and how Razer seems to take a break from the American sales of its laptops.
