Production has already started on the new Max season The Pitt, And this time, producers have an eye on special holidays to serve as a backdrop for their day drama in life.
While appearing at Deadline’s CONTENDERS TV on Saturday, the executive producer R. Scott Gemmill – who shared the scene with his colleague EP John Wells and EP / Star Noah Wyle – said the next 15 hours of The Pitt will take place during a weekend of July 4.
The action will resume 10 months after the last hour of season 1, which drops on April 10 on Max.
Wyle even used Saturday’s panel to express the word on the casting of season 2 of the drama, which follows the medical staff during his quarter of 3 p.m. in a fictitious hospital in Pittsburgh.
“We call all pros,” Wyle told the crowd. “We want people who are good with accessories and who are used to working in a business, with a set. We want creativity. We want passion. We don’t want the ego to come and play. We have great people who show up excited. ”

One of the most positive aspects of The Pitt – And take note, Bit Players – is to know how even the fundamental players remain employed during the entire production series. Since the show takes place more than 15 hours in a single day, all those who appeared in the first hour of the show have a very good chance of working on the final.
“The guest actors who were in the show worked for months, often appearing in the waiting room for a scene or two, then in the background, then they finally have a scene,” said Wells. “We had wonderful actors who signed to be in the background for four or five episodes, then had major scenes. So, everyone was on the set all the time, including all our regulars. The whole is so deep and large that we see everything so everyone is there.”
To maintain continuity, even the crew carries scrubs while the cameras run.
“There is no differentiation between the foreground and the background team,” added Wyle. “We are all the business, and we will all have a very immersive experience. It’s a very atypical way to work, and I hope they will leave with something very special. ”
The casting includes Tracey Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine Lanasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Brones, Gerran Howell and Shabana Azeez.
The Pitt is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where JWP is under a global agreement. Gemmill created the drama and the executive produced the series alongside Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich, Erine Jonotow and Simran Baidwan from JWP.
