The PC manufacturer takes a break from certain sales of American laptops, citing prices

The frame of the manufacturer of laptops takes a break from American sales on some of its low -end models, citing Trump’s prices.

Framework, a company based in San Francisco known for its modular and improvable laptops, announced Tuesday that certain basic systems of its series of laptops 13 would be withdrawn from its American site and that their sales would temporarily be made.

“Due to the new prices that came into force on April 5, we temporarily stop American sales on some basic basic laptop systems (Ultra 5 125H and Ryzen 5 7640U),” said the company on X. “To now, these models will be deleted from our American site. We will continue to provide updates as we have them.”

In response to a user asking for more information, the company cited the reciprocal rate of 32% that Trump levied against Taiwan.

“We evaluated our laptops when the prices on imports from Taiwan were 0%,” said the company. “At a price of 10%, we had to sell the least low range SKUs.

Framework is not the first company to press the break button on some of its American sales while assessing the potential ramifications of Trump’s price.

Nintendo, which largely manufactures in China, Vietnam and Cambodia, postponed the American pre -orders of its highly anticipated switch 2 on a still indefinite date (although it indicates that the game console will still be launched on June 5).
