CAIRO (AP) – An attack on a free market in the Sudanese city of Omdurman by a paramilitary group killed 54 people and injured at least 158, the health authorities announced on Saturday.
The attack by the Fast support forces On the Sabrein market was the last in a series of deadly attacks in the growing civil war that destroyed the country of North East Africa.

“This criminal act adds to the bloody file of this militia,” he said in a statement. “This constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.”

A video published on social networks by the correspondent Nezar Bogdawi of Al Arabiya TV, showed several body bags numbered and aligned outside the hospital. The wounded treated, some on hospital soil, included a man with a chest injury, another with a leg injury and a man with a head injury.
The Sudan army said in a statement on Saturday evening that its forces had been able to “expel the remains” of the RSF of the Rifa’a, Tambul, Al-Hilaliya and Al-Hasahisa zones in Gezeira.
