Indianapolis – The owner of the Indianapolis colts, Jim Irsay, who has managed the team since 1997 and chaired one of the largest eras in the franchise, has died. He was 65 years old.
“We are devastated to announce that our beloved owner and CEO, Jim Irsay, died peacefully in his sleep this afternoon,” Coo Pete Ward said in a statement published by the team. “Jim’s dedication and passion for Indianapolis colts in addition to his generosity, his commitment to the community, and above all, his love for his family was not prohibited.”
Irsay is survived by his daughters Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson, his ex-wife and the mother of his daughters, Meg Coyle, and 10 grandchildren.
