Tuesday morning, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, praised the opening of four new resource centers to help Angelenos who lost income due to catastrophic forest fires.
The centers, which have been opened in partnership with the County of the, offer a single attendance location where people affected by fires can access emergency funds, obtain assistance for placement and training, search for a job temporary and request loans from small businesses. They can also access an emergency shelter and rental assistance and obtain aid for deposit taxes in centers, among other services.
“The other advantage of this center is that individuals can work with staff, one against one,” said Bass. “Sometimes what discourages people from obtaining their advantages is the demand process. It’s confusing, complicated, but here you can really work with individual staff who will make you go step by step in the process. »»

Soto-Martínez said that his office received voter calls every day which, despite a good life apart from the limits of Eaton or palisades fire, have always had their life turned upside down by flames.
