After a passenger tried to open an emergency exit in the air, a on -board agent intervened is on leave for weeks with a fractured leg.
In addition, Ultra Líneas Aereas Flight 701 was traveling from Madrid to Caracas, Venezuela, on Saturday, when a passenger began to disturb the other travelers.
A spokesperson for the airline told Business Insider that the man slapped and shouted the sleeping person next to him.
“The crew acted quickly, soothing the situation between the two,” they said, adding that the disruptive passenger had been moved to another seat.
A few moments later, he tried to open one of the emergency trips to the plane, the airline said.
A shared video on social networks seems to show that the cabin crew rushes towards humans to hold it back while the passengers concerned look.
During the incident, one of the on-board agents underwent a partial fracture of his peonh, a lower leg bone, said the ultra spokesperson. He was treated, but the injury will hold it from work for a few weeks, they added.
The unruly passenger was moderate at the back of the plane, accompanied by two crew members, until they reach Caracas, where local authorities were given, the airline said.
It was not clear how far in the flight of eight and a half hours, the incident occurred. Flightradar24 data show that the flight landed in Caracas about 30 minutes ahead of the calendar.
“In any case, flight safety or compromised persons,” said the spokesperson.
While someone looking for an emergency exit is scary, it is indeed impossible to open an environment halfway.
To avoid problems such as hypoxia or altitude evil, planes are under pressure at an altitude of 8,000 feet or less. This means that the cabin pressure is much higher than the exterior, producing enormous forces that keep the doors closed.
The passengers who try to open the doors of the plan are rare but not unknown. Last month, an Iberia passenger was accused of having attacked a on -board agent and opening an emergency exit before jumping on the traffic lane while a flight was preparing to take off.
In 2023, four South Korean airlines Registered with a program that prioritizes exit exit seats for uniform staff, including soldiers and air workers. Passengers would also be warned in the briefing before the flight so as not to try to open the emergency exit.
The measures were introduced after an Asiana Airlines passenger opened a door at an altitude of 700 feet when the plane arrived to land.
No one was seriously injured, but nine people were transported to hospital after suffering from suspected hyperventilation and a 33 -year -old passenger was arrested, the Guardian reported.
