“Unfortunately, there will always be disturbed individuals who want to harm the royal family,” said former chief of royal protection of Met Davies The mirror. “The difficult task is to identify people with the means and the determination to act.”

The Protection Protection Team and Specialized Protection of MET is responsible for keeping the safety of the royal family, but security is still a known risk – it is enough to ask Prince Harry, who has argued for years that security and security are a problem. Davies added that some stalkers are so passionate about achieving their royal goals that they even provide their real names and addresses when they write to them: “There are probably 50 to 100 people who are currently watching who, they say, could present a significant risk,” he said. “Very often, these people will be mentally ill and some will be completely not sophisticated.”

Royal family members have been targeted for years; Princess Anne survived an attempted kidnapping in 1974, and her mother Queen Elizabeth found herself face to face with an intruder in 1982 after a man burst into her room. Towards the end of his life, a man with a crossbow broke on the ground of the castle of Windsor in 2021, and the following year, an intruder dressed as a priest spent the night on the property.

Last November, the Windsor area was again affected when masked intruders stole vehicles near the house of Adelaide Cottage, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the 30 rooms of Prince Andrew, Royal Lodge, faced a security break in York when a woman wandered in the house, saying that she had a lunch date with the Duke of York.
