- Several companies have made DEI efforts in the middle of the pressure of the conservative groups and the White House.
- Some CEOs have expressed their support or defended diversity programs in their businesses.
- The CEO of Deutsche Bank is the last director of the bank to defend the initiatives of Dei.
The list of CEOs who publicly support their companies’ policies of their businesses increases.
The CEO of Deutsche Bank, Christian Sewing, is the last, joining Jamie Dimon of Jpmorgan and David Schon of Goldman Sachs in the public defense of Dei programs in the wider external criticism of the diversity initiatives of conservative activists and the new administration of President Donald Trump.
One of Trump’s first decrees placed Federal DEI staff on administrative leave while the work began to dismantle their services.
The decline on diversity, equity and inclusion in the private sector began before Trump took up his duties. A multitude of companies – including Meta, Walmart and McDonald’s – have reduced or ended their own Dei initiatives. Some had been targeted by groups of conservative activists.
However, in the midst of tensions around Dei, some leaders adopt a public position in support of their businesses.
