A resident of the County Camden trapped a raccoon on Sunday which was later confirmed to the rage, officials said.
The animal control officials responded to a residence in Clementon where a raccoon had been found and trapped on Sunday in the courtyard on Sunday, the authorities announced.
The raccoon was sent to public and environmental health laboratories in Trenton for tests and the County County Health and Social Services Department was informed that the raccoon was rage on Wednesday, officials announced.
No animal or human is suspected of having been exposed to the raccoon, officials said.
