Star Wars Japan 2025 celebration is now in progress, and you know what it means? News on new films and shows! With The Mandalorian and the Grogu To arrive next year, fans have wondered about the next theatrical episode, and now we know that it will be a post-Skywalker saga entitled Star Wars: Starfighter.
No, this film will not be connected to the 2001 SIM card video game of the same name. Instead, it will take place “about five years” after the events of 2019 Skywalker climb. We know little about history at this stage, however recurring rumors point to Jedi (or at least the characters sensitive to the force) being a large part of the plot, even if the film is not a direct monitoring of the suite trilogy. Shawn Levy (Deadpool and Wolverine) will make a script written by Jonathan Tropper (the Adam project). Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) is now confirmed to play in the project.
Star Wars’ social media accounts also shared a 20 -second teaser with the logo and epic music to announce the May 28, 2027release date. Despite what the title could suggest, the use of the symbol “Light of the Jedi” just in the center supports the above rumors. Look at it below:
