The mother who “ made everything possible ” for Phil Foden – but must now endure vile songs after having lived a very colorful life

Few parents in world football have lived a more colorful life than Claire Rowlands, the mother of five who made “everything possible” for one of the best talents of the Premier League in the Manchester City star, Phil Foden.

From her neighbors on her Disneyland style fireworks to be expelled from a Welsh nightclub for having triggered a man’s hat, she regularly found herself in the eyes of the public – but within her family, she is the nourishing pillar for Foden and her four brothers and sisters Callum, Kenzi, Laws and Avayah.

Rowlands, 44, became shamefully the subject of Viles Songs of Manchester United fans during the CLI-0-0 Sunday impasse at Old Trafford, because Foden was targeted by home support sections which always described it as “S ** g” before its substitution in the 58th minute.

Manchester City director Pep Guardiola urged after the match that Red Devils fans should have “shame” for having shown a “lack of class”, recognizing the crucial role that Rowlands played in the breeding and education of one of the club’s best players.

Foden, meanwhile, simply published a three -word response to social media in the aftermath of the derby, which was read on Instagram: “We continue”.

However, he dismissed the group of supporters who sang shamefully during the match with a series of sarcastic gestures – first, an ironic series of applause before giving them a boost, clearly disgusted by the taunts of the stands.

Foden reacted to Man United fans after having targeted it with abusive songs on Sunday

Although it is true that Foden has had trouble reproducing the sensational form he has shown in recent seasons at Etihad, having a player of the year of last year of last year in the fourth successive title of the Premier League of Manchester City, few stars are better on the day of their day.

Towards the end of 2017, only a year after Foden had fled on the stage in adolescence in City, the young midfielder thanked his mother Claire and the father of Manchester United, Phil Foden Sr. for the support they gave him during his trip to football.

“Family”, the message touching on Instagram read. “Thank you to my mom and my father who made it all possible.

The separation of the intensity of football with peaceful family is of great importance for Foden, who likes to relax with unusual hobbies such as fishing and collecting stickers.

According to his interview with The Telegraph four years ago, it is clear that Rowland understands the desire of his son to move away from everything – which only makes Sunday songs to Old Trafford all the more difficult to spread.

“I think it’s great for a footballer to relax from all stress,” said Rowlands. “I don’t really get (fishing) myself but Phil and his father love him. Once he releases his cane, there is no return.

“My father and I faced him with his absence with England last month and he sits there in his room to make his books of stickers,” she added.

“I think he has about four on the go. Panini, Attax match. It’s hysterical. It’s a good thing, don’t get me wrong, but it is how obsessed football is obsessed.

Now, a parent himself to three children, including the social media star Ronnie and his daughter True, whom he shares with the long-term girlfriend Rebecca Cooke, Family-Man Foden opened on what it is to be a father.

“I love being a parent,” he told GQ last month. “When things are not doing well, if you haven’t won, you don’t think you’ve played well, it helps go home with your children – just to see them smile and joke to me.

“It gives you the impression that there is more in life than football.”

While Foden has tried to enjoy a quiet life far from the family football field over the years, Rowlands has not been foreign to colorful moments in the eyes of the public.

In January 2024, images were released from Rowlands put on handcuffed and thrown out of a Welsh nightclub after launching a hat from the head of another reveler.

The incident, which occurred in a disco in Bentley in Towyn, in Wales, took place on September 9, 2023, just hours after Foden left the bench to play for England in a qualifier Euro 2024.

The 52 -second clip, shown in court, has shown that Rowlands has aggressively faced police officers who were called to the scene.

Defying the officers, she said: “Keep then, what did I do?” Do not start in front of unless you have proof.

Far from football, Foden likes fishing and the book of stickers collected according to his mother

Rowlands was eliminated assault and was sentenced to a fine for his behavior after admitting to the police: “I don’t drink often but when I do it, I make up for the time. I am like an animal.

The footballer’s mother had taken advantage of an evening with friends and ended up taking pictures of vodka and tequila before showing her `festive thing ” to turn off a man’s hat, said the Llandudno magistrate court.

The night started when she had been invited to a caravan with two of her friends as a respite to take care of her youngest son, who is disabled and requires care 24 hours a day.

She said in court: “The plan was fair to go out, laugh, drop our hair and have fun. We went to the caravan, had a few cans, we wash the hair and we are all dressed.

The group went to a bar on the caravan site and “amused, karaoke and that all the elderly dance at Motown”.

The group later went to Sunny’s in town – followed by the neighboring nightclub Bentley’s – where Rowlands said that she had drank tequila and vodka blows before she was asked to go by bouncers who accused her of having attacked someone.

The magistrates were shown video surveillance images of the club which showed that Rowlands cutting a baseball cap on the head of Paul Shortman, then trying to put it back on him.

Rowlands told court that she was just “fun” and did not intend to hurt the man when she tried to put her cap.

“How did I get here?”: Foden last month shared an Instagram photo of him as a boy (left)

She said, “I was drunk. It was just a little fun, a little jokes. I just couldn’t believe it, that I could get in trouble to eliminate someone’s cap. This is my party thing, overthrowing someone’s cap and putting it back.

“I didn’t think it is harm or hurt it and you can see it on the video. It was just a bit of jokes that were taken in the wrong direction.

Two years earlier, Rowlands was attacked in a boxing match between Kell Brook and Amir Khan, in an incident described as “shocking and appalling” by Manchester City.

Social media images showed an attacker who struck Foden’s mother behind the scenes after the city’s star was harassed and verbally abused in a corridor at Arena AO in Manchester.

Foden was subjected to a series of obscenities, including a homophobic insult, and was brought back to the private family show.

The incident has intensified, leading to rowlands shockingly struck in the face. Another member of the Foden group then picked up a fire extinguisher while trying to defend the player.

In November of last year, as revealed exclusively by Mail Sport, Rowlands upset the neighbors with an `Fête des Buestifies deafissant ” in the rear garden of his house in the Cheshire Feuillu.

Residents of the high-end road from Prestbury had to calm pets and terrified infants when the “Standard-Standard” pyrotechnics began and said that it had not been warned by the event that lasted from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the night.

Rowlands, who lives on this property of 3.5 million pounds sterling in Prestbury, Cheshire, the neighbors irritated in November after having staged a fireworks of Disneyland of two hours

One of the neighbors, who lives nearby, said: “It had to cost thousands of people.

“They would not have seemed out of words during New Year’s celebrations at Sydney Harbor Bridge or Disneyland!

“Not that the neighbors were impressed. Most were concerned about their pets.
