The most expensive hotel rooms in the world: the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris

There are 78 rooms at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, but only two “Les Grands Appartements”“.

The apartments can be combined, with an adjoining room, to form a three-bedroom mega-suite covering 335 square meters (3,606 square feet) of the hotel’s fourth floor.

Famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld designed the interiors down to the smallest detail, hotel general manager Vincent Billiard told CNBC.

“He was personally involved, personally present, in choosing every little detail of this property, from the carpets, the walls, the paintings, the colors, the furniture… to make it one of the best and most beautiful suites in the world. world,” he said.

Luxurious furnishings run throughout both apartments, from an original sink that once stood in the Palace of Versailles to a £4,000 Carrara marble bathtub. There’s even a “secret room,” says Billiard, hidden behind a bookcase that, with the push of a button, opens to reveal a beautiful walk-in closet.

“It was very tastefully designed,” Billiard said. “It’s very chic. It’s very Parisian.”
