The members of the kiss of life share handwritten apology for controversial live broadcasting

In the midst of the growing controversy of their recent live broadcast, the kiss of members of life shared a handwritten letter of apology.

Earlier this week, Kiss of Life was criticized for a live program they held to celebrate Julie’s birthday. The theme of broadcast was “Old-School Hip Hop” and many viewers expressed their concerns about its perceived cultural insensitivity.

Following an official statement made by their agency S2 Entertainment on April 3, members of the life kiss published their own personal apology letter on April 6 KST.

The complete letter from Kiss of Life, which was written in English, is as follows:

To all our kisses (kiss from the life of the fandom),

We really want to apologize sincerely for the content that was downloaded that caused so much disappointment to our fans. We must seem calm outside, but the time preceding this letter was honestly difficult. Although we wanted and should have resolved this earlier, we take the first opportunity to remedy it now.

We are sorry.
Our intention was to show how much we loved the category of Old School hip hop because it greatly influences our music. By turning the content, we ended up taking the concept too far. We now realize that our content was culturally insensitive and assumes responsibility for our actions and can only promise to do better.

We have spent the last days to learn and reflect how our actions have disappointed many of you. We know that there is nothing that we can say or make that will magically repair the error that we have made. The only thing we can promise is that we will continue to educate ourselves and show our sincerity through our actions rather than in words.

Our mission has always been to spread confidence and love through our music. We really regret the choices we have made and are really sorry for any pain and distress that we have caused to our fans. This situation was a precious learning experience for us. The support of our Kissy (sic) means the world for us and we will continue to honor you all in all possible ways.
