The market slide begins to expand beyond Tesla while Elon Musk questioned subscribers on the formation of a new political party.
The S&P 500 fell 0.1%, with only about half of its stocks up. Tesla was still a massive shift with a slide of almost 10%, but even the S&P 500 of equal weight was flat.
The Nasdaq composite was down 0.2%, while the DOW was up 14 points, or almost flat.
