The world is full of stories that make us question what we think about life and death. In some corners of the globe, certain stories come to life in the form of people whose experiences cannot be explained by science or logic. Ismail Azizi, a man from Tanzania, is such a story. His life has become a powerful symbol of mystery, fear and isolation.According to a recent documentary by Afrimax English via Nairaland, Azizi has died and would come back for life six times. Whenever he was declared medically dead, he returned alive and breathing in circumstances that left the doctors and his local community. But instead of being known for having survived the impossible, Azizi was postponed, feared by his own neighbors, and even rejected by his family. His life is now that of complete isolation.Azizi’s first death would have followed a serious work accident. He was declared dead, placed in a morgue and the preparations for his burial began. But before the funeral, he woke up and came out. “They took me to the morgue, but I woke up by feeling very cold,” he told Afrimax. “Fortunately, the morgue was not closed and I got out. When my family saw me, they fled because they thought I was a ghost. ”Later, after a battle with malaria and another declaration of death, Azizi again revived, and this time when his family was preparing to place it in a coffin. From there, the incidents have become even more shocking. After a car accident, a snake bite, a fall in a toilet toix, and even to be burned in his own house by frightening neighbors, Azizi was declared dead and again. In a case, his body stayed in a morgue for three days before shocking people in mourning when they returned to life. While Azizi never injured anyone, the inhabitants have become suspect, connecting their feedback to black magic or supernatural forces. Some have even accused him of witchcraft, setting fire to the house of fear. Now living alone in a dilapidated house, Azizi supports itself through small agriculture, cooking and cleaning. According to Afrimax, he is considered cursed or immortal, and no longer receives the support of his community or his family. Despite everything, Azizi remains peaceful, but tired. Its history can look like a miracle, but for Azizi, it is a lonely existence. “Whenever I died and I came back, my body was strange,” he said. “People started treating me as if I were a witch.”
