OAKLAND – A local resident was arrested and accused of attempted murder for having allegedly killed a car full of family members, hitting a man with the head and paralyzing a woman from the neck.
The two victims, aged 18 and 19, survived the January 12 shooting. Police said the father of the victims driven the vehicle, witnessed the entire incident and led them to the hospital thereafter.
The suspect, identified in the judicial archives like Adriel Elias Torres, 23, was accused of two chiefs of attempted murder and three shooters in a busy car, according to the judicial archives. He remains in prison without deposit and should then be pleaded on February 27.
The shooting occurred around 5 a.m. on January 12, outside a house in the 2600 block of the 77th avenue. The family was heading for a local flea market when they heard shots, followed by Elias Torres who would go and asked: “Who are you,” said the police.
The victims ignored it and got into the car. When Elias Torres dwelled, one of the occupants would have opened the door to try to hit him with it, and replied by pulling his weapon, hitting the 18 -year -old woman in the shoulder, the authorities said.
Her father has traveled a short distance, but stopped to see if she was fine, allowing Elias Torres to shoot a second flight in the car, hitting the 19 -year -old man in the head, said the authorities . Elias Torres was identified as a suspect in his vehicle and eyewitnesses, according to the judicial archives. He was arrested on February 1.
According to police, Elias Torres lives 100 meters from the victims. Police were called to his home last year, when a neighbor accused Elias Torres of having thrown away from his home in an argument, the authorities announced.
