Oakland – A man was fatally killed in the Bartlett region on Monday morning, the authorities announced.
The name, age and residence of the victim have not been released.
The shooting occurred around 7:12 a.m. Monday in block 3300 on Arkansas Street, which is just south of the Interstate 580 and west of 35th avenue.
The man was found with at least one ball injury. He was taken to the hospital where he was declared deceased.
A motif of the shooting is under investigation. No arrest has been announced and no suspicious information has been published.
The murder is the 28th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at that time, police investigated the same number of homicides in the city.
