OAKLAND – A 33 -year -old man was fatally killed in East Oakland on Sunday morning, the authorities announced, marking the alleged 14th homicide to have been investigated by the Oakland police service this year.
The shooting took place at 1:48 am Sunday on the 2500 block of the 62nd and Bancroft avenues. The authorities were alerted to the shooting through a ball detection system. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died.
The identity of the victim is to refuse a notification pending to his family. No arrests have been made and details on a suspect or a potential reason has not been published.
