A 46 -year -old man killed during a shooting in Wells Park in El Cajon earlier this week was identified Thursday by police.
Deandre Jarrail Bryant was shot dead around 9:45 p.m. Sunday on East Madison Avenue near North First Street, said Eric Cajon police, Eric Thornton. The agents found Bryant in a parking lot of the park with exposed ball injury.
He was taken to the hospital where he died.
He remained clear on Thursday which led to the shooting. Investigators previously declared that there was an altercation between Bryant and another man, in which the anonymous man released a weapon and drawn.
The shooter then went up to a vehicle and fled before the officers arrived.
A second shooting in the same park was reported on Wednesday evening. No one was injured and the shooter is not in detention, said Thornton.
The investigation into the two shots remains in progress. It is not known if the shots are linked.
