Police have accused a man from Irvine of children’s children after a 14 -year -old boy died in a house earlier this week, authorities announced.
Christian Yeager, 56, was arrested by Irvine police on Thursday evening, according to files from Orange County prison.
Earlier in the day, around 2:42 p.m., Irvine police responded to a report by a child -suffering child in a house in Heathergreen and WeepingWood, according to a police press release. They tried rescue measures to the injured boy, but died shortly after.
The detectives determined that the injury was self-inflicted and investigated whether it was intentional or accidental. The boy did not live at home.
The boy attended Southlake Middle School in the Irvine Unified school district. His identity is to be refused while waiting for the notification of the closest. The police are working with the school district to provide support services to students and staff, officials said.
Yeager was reserved by the police, suspected of children and criminal storage of a firearm, said the police.
