Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, both of the states of Heartland attracting public attention before the next general elections of next year, vote on Friday. For Madhya Pradesh, it will be an election to the single -phase assembly, while for Chhattisgarh, this is the second phase of the vote.
The polls began Friday morning for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, where 2533 candidates, including the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his predecessor Kamal Nath are in the fray for 230 seats of the Assembly, in a competition right between the BJP in power and the opposition congress.

The vote is underway in 64,626 polling stations set up in the state. They include 64,523 main stands and 103 associated stations (Sahayak), where the number of voters exceeds 1,500.
Up to 5.60.58,521 voters, including 2,87,82,261 men, 2,71.99,586 women and 1,292 third sex, are eligible to exercise their deductible. Voters also include services and voters abroad.
A total of 2,533 candidates for political parties and the self -employed – 2,280 men, 252 women and a third of sex – are in the running to enter the State Assembly.
The number of “criticism” stations is 17,032, while 5,260 stands have an election staff for all women, said the official. Stands that recorded a very high participation rate or have witnessed any kind of violence in previous elections are designated as “critical polling stations”.
No less than 183 polling stations have been set up for people with disabilities.
For the first time, 371 stands managed by young people were set up, while the number of “model” polling stations amounts to 2,536. 3:
Second voting phase in Chhattisgarh:
Friday morning, the survey began for the second and last phase of the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, where 958 candidates, including the chief minister Bhupeh Baghel, the vice-cm ts singh deo, eight ministers of state and four members of the Parliament are in melee for 70 seats.
The survey started at 7 a.m. in nine voting cabins in the headquarters of Binranawagarh, assigned to Naxal in the Gariaband District for security reasons and will end at 3 p.m.
The voting time in the 70 districts is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except in these nine stands, said a manager. The stands are Kamarbhaudi, Amamora, Odh, Baden Gobra, Ganwargaon, Gariba, Nagesh, Sahbinkachhar and Kodomali.
The first phase of the elections for 20 seats in the state affected by Naxal, which has an assembly of 90 members, took place on November 7 and saw a high participation rate of 78%.
The power congress voted according to 2018 after 15 years of opposition, and the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party is the main pretenders to power in the State, where the Aam Aadmi (AAP) party, the Bahujan Samaj party ( BSP) and certain regional outfits are also in scratch.

A total of 958 candidates – 827 men, 130 women and a transgender person – are competing 70 seats divided into 22 districts. Up to 1.63,14,479 voters – 81.41,624 men, 81.72,171 women and 684 of the third sex – are eligible to exercise their deductible at 18,833 voting boots.
At 26, the headquarters of Raipur City West has the greatest number of candidates, while Donnilohara in the Balod district has the lowest count of candidates for four.
