Chelsea de Aimee Lou Wood has become a beloved character in the last season of “The White Lotus”, but the actor said HBO did not want to launch her in the series.

In an interview with GQ, Wood said that a producer had approached her during the first week of filming to tell him how creator Mike White fought to launch her in the show.

“It was honestly the most beautiful place, but my little head said: ‘HBO didn’t want me. And I know why HBO didn’t want me, it’s because I’m ugly. Mike had to say:” Please let me have the ugly girl! “,” Said Wood. “This is the thing that was in my head.”

Wood has not clarified more about the nature of its casting. HBO did not immediately respond to a request for comments.

After that, Wood said that she feared that she was acting weird on the set until White told her that she had to kiss her quirk for the character.

In the end, the wood cast seemed to be the right decision. Her representation of the romantic optimist Chelsea, who is on vacation in Thailand with his much older boy Rick (Walton Goggins), made her a favorite fans on the show to the tragic end of her character.

While Chelsea – and therefore Wood – now has many fans online, Wood told GQ that there was something that disturbed her about the attention she held from “The White Lotus”.
