IRVINE-One night after having undergone its first defeat of the season, the best-classified men’s male volleyball team avenged this defeat, sweeping UC Irvine, 25-23, 25-19, 29-27, Saturday evening in a closed window crowds of 4,758 at the Bren Events Center.
Alex Kandev managed 15 striking attacks on a punch percentage of 0.609 and Moni Nikolov succeeded 10 striking attacks, 35 assists, six excavations and four blocks to punctuate the LBSU (21-1 in total, 3-1 Big West). Long Beach gave things up to the loss of three Friday sets, reaching. 424 to .286 of the UCI and by holding an advantage in blocks (8.5-6) and ACE (5-3).
The hilir Henno’s exterior striker succeeded 21 striking attacks to carry out the anniers (15-5, 1-3), while the exterior striker Nolan Flexen succeeded in eight striking attacks, four excavations and three assists and the opposite striker, William d’Arcy, added seven striking attacks and three excavations.
Ass at a tie of 17 in the first set, Long Beach scored four of the six points following for an advance of 21-19. LBSU had an adjustment point at 24-22 before Henno died a killing for the UCI. The second section point succeeded when Nikolov found Kandev for a killing and a 25-23 victory.

Nikolov and Diaeries McRaven blocked an attempt by Henno for an advantage of 26-25 long Beach, but a triple block of UCI Joe Karlous, Micah Goss and Henno on an attempt by Skyler Varga again linked the score. The Micah Goss service error gave LBSU an advance of 27-26, but Ben Braun de LBSU committed an error of attack which for equality 27-27.
Long Beach found his head on a kandev’s killing out of the rear row. UC Irvine challenged the call, but that did not succeed. Nikolov, the national leader of service ace per game, delivered his first AS of the night, leading to another challenge of the UCI, but the call was confirmed to end the match.
