The legend of WWE Sheamus weighed on the acrimonious departure of Trent Alexander-Arrimonious of Liverpool before his move to Real Madrid.
After months of speculation on his future, Alexander-Arnold announced last week that he would leave Liverpool this summer after two decades in his childhood club.
This decision sees the 26 -year -old leaving Anfield on a free transfer after a winning campaign in the title in the first season of Arne Slot in the Premier League.
This decision divided the opinion among the faithful of Anfield, the defender submitted to an icy reception by the supporters after being presented as a substitute in the second half in the 2-2 draw of the club with Arsenal on Sunday.
The longtime supervisor of the Reds Sheamus revealed that he would not have hooked Alexander-Arnold but insisted that he could understand the frustration of the supporters after the prolonged saga.
“The way it was dragged, I think that is why people are a little upset about it,” he told Mail Sport before WWE’s return to the United Kingdom and Ireland in August.

“I would never get a player in a Liverpool jersey, even Jamie Carragher (laughs).
“I don’t think it’s true, you are still playing for the club that you always wear the crest.
“If you don’t want to play for the club, it’s good, continue. It will open a place for someone else like a conor Bradley.
“(Trent part) gives the opportunity for someone who wants to play for the club and who is passionate about the club and who wants to come and give everything for the ridge. I prefer a situation by far where if he does not want to play, he leaves.
“I would not want a guy who has a foot and a foot of the door, then signed a contract at the club withdrawn, because then on the road, it will cause problems.
“So, if there is a doubt in his mind that he wants to be in Anfield, at Liverpool Football Club, go for it.”
This decision sees Alexander-Arnold joining the colleagues of his colleague from the Liverpool Academy Steve McManaman and Michael Owen to exchange Anfield for the Bernabeu.
However, Sheamus warned that the agitated nature of Real Madrid supporters raised by the history of the Galactico Signatures Club of the big name could make a difficult transition for the international in England when he arrived in the Spanish capital.

Liverpool’s long-standing fan added that Alexander-Arnold could find it difficult to live up to noble expectations surrounding his arrival in the Spanish capital
“Good luck to him, I hope he is doing well,” he continued.
“I would not want anyone bad. I hope he succeeds. I just think that sometimes you think that the grass is greener on the other side, but I don’t think the grass is so green there.
“Especially Madrid fans, they are very capricious, they are like,” what is the next one? Who is the next person? “”
“If you don’t want to be at the club, go for it. We will find someone else. We will find someone better.
