Donald Trump’s eldest son published a meme on X of a Korean-American business owner inspecting a rifle on a roof in reference to the riots of Los Angeles in 1992, which broke out in response to the acquittal of four police officers from Los Angeles (LAPD), police officers took videos by beating the video Rodney King.
The stages of anger that followed saw certain members of the local Asian diaspora taking up arms to defend their companies against looters and vandals.

While the inflamed clashes broke out in Los Angeles on Sunday, the governor of California called the vice-president JD Vance to “stop reaching the flames”.
Vance has taken over Donald Trump’s social post, calling for federal agency leaders to “take all these necessary measures” to “free Los Angeles from the invasion of migrants”.
“This moment calls for decisive leadership. The president will not tolerate riots and violence,” wrote Vance on Sunday evening.
“Decisive leadership?” Replied Newsom.
“You didn’t even know when your own national guard was deployed on the ground. Stop stirring the flames.”

Donald Trump authorized the deployment of 2,000 soldiers of the National Guard in Los Angeles after a repression of immigration broke out on mass demonstrations on Saturday.
The first troops arrived on Sunday morning, with around 300 dispersed on three sites in the Grand Los Angeles. Images have shown that demonstrators have thrown stones at law enforcement vehicles and others trying to hinder a marshal service bus after more than a hundred arrests.

The mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, published a message at the end of evening to the residents after meeting governor Gavin Newsom, the chief of LAPD Jim McDonnell and the sheriff of the County of the Robert Luna.

The Los Angeles Police Department said early Monday morning that it had been reported in looting in the city.
“Business owners report that stores are looted in the 6th and Broadway area,” tweeted the central division of LAPD. “The officers are on the way to investigate to investigate.”

An Australian television journalist was struck by a rubber bullet while covering the demonstrations against immigration raids in Los Angeles, with a British photographer also injured while the police used the crowd control rounds.
Lauren Tomasi, American correspondent for Nine News, reported outside the metropolitan detention center in the city center of the rubber ball struck her while the officers began to disperse demonstrators.
“After hours to stand next, this situation quickly deteriorated, the LAPD moving on horseback, pulling rubber bullets on demonstrators, moving them through the heart of Los Angeles,” she said in the report.
A few moments later, Tomasi could be heard crying and was seen grabbing his calf. A passerby shouted: “You just F ****** shot the journalist!”

“Paid insurrectionist,” wrote Trump.
