Stuart Pearce had an emotional meeting with one of the staff of the cabin crew who helped his fear of worrying health at the beginning of the month.
The 62 -year -old was not well on the return flight to London on March 2 after attending the Rugby League match in Las Vegas between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves.
The Virgin plane had an emergency landing in Newfoundland after Pearce fell ill on board.
The former left back recovered and even was on the comments functions for the 2-0 victory of England over Albania in the weeks that followed.
Monday morning, Pearce and his wife Carol made an appearance on ITV to discuss the disturbing test and thank the staff who helped the situation.

“On the way back to the airport, my chest was a little tight, a little heavy. Thought it could be indigestion or something of this nature. It was as if someone was sitting on my chest, if you wish.
When asked if he had already experienced problems with his heart before, Pearce replied: “Nothing at all (previous medical conditions). History with my family, nothing at all … I don’t drink, I don’t smoke.
He also recalled: “They took care of us, made us advance on the plane. Caught up with me an ECG machine. My heart rate at rest was 155 bpm … I have never experienced anything like this …
“They connected with the doctors, sent all the readings and hung me for oxygen.”
In a surprise for Pearce, the ITV crew then released the edge agent Zoe Anderson who was there at the time to help the former boss of England.
After entering the set, she had a warm embrace with Pearce who said: “Delighted to see you!”. His wife looked visibly emotional while the staff member thanked.
Anderson, according to his profile on LinkedIn, worked as an integrated manager in Virgin for nine years. Before that, she worked Eastern Airways for a year.
