El Segundo – After sitting on the NBA star match on Sunday due to the persistent pain of the left / ankle, the Lakers Star LeBron James is listed as questionable for the home match on Wednesday evening against The Charlotte Hornets.
“I hope he is upgraded at some point (Wednesday) and he is able to play,” said coach JJ Redick on Tuesday. “But he will be questionable.”
James, 40, was selected for his 21st star match at the record extent, but did not play in the exhibition for the first time since his name for his first team of stars in 2005.
“I hoped that it would feel much better (Sunday) morning, but that’s not where I want it to be,” said James on Sunday. “With 30 games to do and we try to make a boost in the wild and the West West, I have the impression that it is important for me to take care of myself and understand what is happening.
“I do not mean that it is the interview – well, it is the maintenance, but at the same time, I must monitor myself with regard to this injury with which I have been dealing for years. I hope to be available Wednesday… I hope I can play against Charlotte Wednesday and I hope to play against Portland Thursday. It is a big section for us.
Wednesday’s match, which is a makeup for a January 9 match which was postponed due to forest fires in the south of California, is the first match of a path at home. After welcoming the Hornets (13-39), the Lakers (32-20) face the Trail Blazers (23-32) Thursday in Portland before accumulating against the Denver Nuggets (36-19) Saturday in Ball Arena for their Third game in four nights leaving the stars break.
The Lakers have won 12 of their last 15 games, but their March calendar is difficult – they face New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks (twice) and Nuggets (twice) for a period of 14 Days – and a bad section of any length could send them to tumble in the ranking in a closely packed Western conference.
Redick said James had “mostly” spent on Tuesday training, Lakers’ First since the end of the break.
James has always been part of the injury report due to a left foot disease since early December.
“This is something we managed all year round and it was painful during the weekend,” added Redick. “But as if it was all year round, it’s a daily thing, it’s just something that we had to manage or continue to manage throughout the year.”
The workload of Donic
After being on a restriction a few minutes in his first two games with the Lakers, the star recently acquired Luka Doncic will obtain her restrictions that will come out of the break.
Doncic was on a 30 -minute restriction after being sidelined for 6 and a half years due to a tense left calf.
He played 24 and 23 minutes in the Lakers matches on February 10 and February 12 against Utah Jazz, with an average of 15 points, 4.5 rebounds and four assists.
“He will be fine,” replied Redick when he was asked about the rise in power of Doncic out of the break. “This supplement, anything five, six days of stars break was good for him. His minutes will be in place (Wednesday). And I don’t think there is a kind of restrictions in the future.
