During its presentation at this year’s Cinemacon, Warner Bros. shared an extended overview of the new SupermanAnd the studio has just published online images. For the most part, the video focuses on a very injured superman (David Corenswet) begging that his dog, Krypto, returned home because he is unable to walk or fly.
Although it is played for comedy, it is a bit morbid to see Superman’s body rushing like most of its bones are broken. But the scene becomes much strange (in the right direction) while Krypto drags Superman towards a very inspired version of the fortress of loneliness, where a team of medical robots bearing a CAP is ready to perform the sorting. With a very wild plan of robots concentrating sunlight to cure Superman, the trailer also offers longer plans of Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Mistter Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan) and Guy Gardner (Nathan).
Gunn is obviously putting on the public that digs a wilder and more fanciful world of superheroes, and it could bear fruit Superman arrives in theaters on July 11.
