The jury declares Jabrill Peppers not guilty of assault

After having deliberated for a little over an hour, a jury acquitted the security of the patriots, Jabrill Peppers, of the accusation of aggression.

Via NBC 10 in Boston, the The verdict fell on Friday afternoonFollowing a case including the testimony of the alleged victim and Peppers.

Peppers denied these allegations.

“There is no doubt that Mr. Peppers was frustrated,” said his lawyer, Marc Brofsky, during the final pleadings. Brofsky also underlined the medical records which, in his opinion, refuted the claims of the alleged victim.

“Based on these medical results, you might conclude that all of this is just a scam,” said Brofsky. “It’s up to you to decide. You could say it’s a shakedown. . . or a silver puncture. She seeks to be paid. But it will be up to you to decide if you believe it.

Peppers admitted to having been accused of possession of cocaine before the start of the trial.

It remains subject to disciplinary measures under the policy of personal conduct and/or the policy in terms of drug addiction. The criminal justice system requires a standard of evidence beyond reasonable doubt. The NFL uses a much lower standard.

Civil action against Peppers, which also applies less strict standards than criminal procedure, is also underway.
