The jury asks to see the video and to hear the 911 call on the day of the shooting

The trial jury, consisting of 11 white jurors and one black juror, will soon continue to deliberate on the charges against Travis McMichael, his father Gregory McMichael and their co-accused William “Roddie” Bryan Jr., the three men accused of to have pursued and killed 25- Ahmaud Arbery, one year.

There are nine white women, two white men and a black man serving on the trial jury, with two white women and a white man serving as alternates, according to CNN’s analysis of juror data.

The trial jury, consisting of 12 members and three alternates, was selected after a lengthy jury selection process that lasted two and a half weeks and included the calling of 1,000 potential jurors from the coastal community of South Georgia.

Glynn County in Georgia is roughly 70% white and 27% black, according to information from the US Census Bureau.

The composition of the jury was contested by the state following the jury selection process. Senior prosecutor Linda Dunikoski claimed defense lawyers disproportionately hit qualified black jurors and based some of their attacks on race.

The judge handling the case said: “This court has concluded that there appears to be intentional discrimination,” but ruled that the case could go ahead with the selected jurors because the defense was able to provide valid reasons, beyond race, why the other black jurors were removed from office.
