Los Angeles (AP) – The Los Angeles jurors returned a verdict on Tuesday during the rapper’s trial at $ AP Rocky, who is accused of having shot a weapon on a former friend.
The jury of seven women and five men made their decision unanimous after having deliberated for about three hours after a three -week trial which ended with closing arguments on Friday. The verdict will be read Tuesday afternoon.
The hip-hop star is accused of two criminal assault leaders with a semi-automatic firearm. With a conviction, he could be sentenced up to 24 years in prison. He and his lawyers are heading for the courtroom in downtown Los Angeles, where he could be placed in police custody if he was found guilty.
The prosecutors said that Rocky had twice shot a firearm on his former longtime friend, who goes through an $ AP Relli, during a dispute on a Hollywood street in 2021. Relli, the main witness of the ‘Costration, said that his joints were scrambled by one of the shots, but he was not injured elsewhere.
The defense argued that Rocky had pulled whites from a propulsion pistol he picked up in a clip game. The jurors were also invited to find him not guilty if they considered that he was acting in self -defense.
The star of hip-hop nominated in the Grammys, the fashion tycoon and the actor is the long-standing partner of the singing superstar Rihanna. The two 36 -year -old children have two young sons together. She attended a large part of the trial and brought their sons to closing arguments last week. He was not immediately clear if she would be in the courtroom for reading the verdict.
