Hawthorn could have a new sitcom on their hands, after the fans hosted a comforting video involving the Italian grandparents of Young Gun Massimo d’Ambrosio.
The clip, shared on the club’s social networks, shows Ambrosio questioning his two “ non ” – one on the side of his mother and that of his father – while they try to pronounce the names of his teammates.
The results had players and fans in stitches.
In the video, Jake Scrimshaw became “Jake Scriminations” and “Jake Screaming Sherriff”, William McCabe was nicknamed “William Macaron”, and Ned Reeves was hilariously transformed into “ Need Reverse ”.
It was a moment of pure joy that quickly gained ground online.

D’Ambrosio, who joined Essendon in 2022 before moving to Hawthorn in 2023, quickly became a favorite of fans not only for his skills, but for moments like this.
The 20 -year -old trip to AFL did not go without his setbacks.
He missed the national draft in a year strongly affected by COVID-19, which initially left it deflated.
“I definitively had a period of decline after the draft,” he admitted.
“But then I sat with my coaches and I understood the things we were going to do to get to this position.”
This state of mind finally earned him a selection of mid-season recovery and later an exchange in Hawthorn.
When his name was finally called by Essendon, it was a deeply emotional moment.
“I had all the family that supported me along the way,” said Ambrosio.
“It was special to have them with me to take advantage of the moment.
