Katz referred to Madleen, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. The British ship left Italy earlier this month. The coalition describe Its mission as “peaceful act of civil resistance”, aimed at delivering supplies to the inhabitants of Gaza, in particular preparations for babies, layers, health products for women, water desalination kits, medical supplies, crutches and prostheses for children.
The organizers said on Sunday afternoon that they were “about 160 naval miles from Gaza”. The ship can be followed online.
“The Israeli Minister of Defense has once again threatened an illegal force against civilians, trying to justify violence with baseless smear,” the Freedom Flotilla Coalition said On Instagram. “We will not be intimidated.”
Earlier Sunday, at least five people were killed by shooting to two aid distribution points in Gaza led by an Israeli group supported by the United States, the Associated Press reported.
