The Israeli army extends ground operations to Gaza City

Friday, the Israeli soldiers deepened in the north of Gaza after having issued a series of evacuation orders calling on the Palestinians to flee, part of his growing offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip beaten by the war.

The expansion of ground operations occurred after the Palestinian health authorities said Thursday that dozens of people, including children, had been killed in Israeli strikes in a school that has become shelter in the Tuffah district of Gaza City. On Friday, the Israeli army said that strikes aimed at well -known activists in a Hamas command and control center, without appointing them.

The evacuation orders have brought difficult difficulties to the Palestinians who had already undergone the displacement of their houses and miserable conditions during the first 15 months of the war. A two-month-old ceasefire trembling between Israel and Hamas collapsed in March after the two parties do not reach an agreement to extend it, ending a brief respite for the Palestinians in Gaza.

The Israeli army has since launched a large bombing campaign and has seized a territory in Gaza in a tactic which, according to Israeli officials, was intended to force Hamas to release more hostages.

While Israeli military operations have developed, Hamas’ military wing seemed to threaten the Israeli and foreign hostages that remain held in Gaza. In a statement that did not mention the fate of its own people, Hamas said its fighters were causing captives in evacuation areas under “strict security measures that are extremely dangerous for their lives”.

The armed group has in the past threatened the well-being of hostages in the face of Israeli bombings.
