The World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 officially started on Tuesday at the emblematic stadium of Jawaharlal Nehru in New Delhi, marking a great celebration of sporting excellence, inclusiveness and world unit. The opening ceremony has experienced enthusiastic participation, the event being open to everyone and attracting applause of athletes, dignitaries and spectators.
In total, 280 athletes from 20 countries met to compete in 98 events over the next three days. Among them, 195 male athletes and 85 women, which makes this edition one of the most anticipated competitions on the para-athletic global calendar.
The first day of action saw a series of remarkable performance through athletics events, highlighting both an international flair and a strong domination of the field by Indian athletes.
India has made a clean scan in the F11 event to launch discussions, where Sagar won gold with a 34.84 -meter throw, followed by Balaji Rajendran which obtained money with 26.98 meters, and Janak Singh Harsana who won bronze with a brand of 25.13.
In the 100 female meters through the classifications T35, T36, T38 and T44, Rhiannon Clarke of Australia came out victorious, obstructing 13.14 seconds. India’s pre -set friend impressed by a silver finish at 14.85 seconds, while Germany secured bronze at 15.35 seconds.

The Joeferson of Brazil, Marinho de Oliveira, dominated the category of 100 meters T11 and T12 for men with a stellar timing of 11.17 seconds. India Vishu claimed the money, while Pragadeeshwara Raja Moorthy added to the total of India with a bronze.
The 100 -meter male T13 event saw Bose Mokgwathi from Botswana to take gold with 11.55 seconds, bordering the compatriot Edwin Masug, who earned money with 11.57 seconds. The meeting of India Hareshkumar Tadhani took bronze, finishing in 11.63 seconds.
In the 100 meters T35 for men, Dmitrii Safronov, in competition as a parasol of neutral, obtained gold in 12.08 seconds. The Abhishek Babasaheb Jadhav of India won the money with 13.76 seconds, while Vinay claimed bronze in 14.47 seconds.
Raha Al Harrasa of Oman won gold in the T36 of 100 meters male with a 12.53 -second timing, while Mikhail Kukus and Kirill Glazyrin won silver and bronze respectively.
India presented the domination in the T44 category of 100 male meters, where Bharatbha Patel MIT sprained in gold with 12.67 seconds. Ababil Ali followed a single in 13.81 seconds, and Ivan Jovic Suan in Malaysia obtained bronze with 13.84 seconds.
In the combined categories of 100 meters T63 and T64 for men, Petr Mikhalkov, also representing athletes of Para neutral, stormed gold in 11.56 seconds. Japan Yuma Tamkai has earned money with 11.66 seconds, while Pranav Prashant Desai in India captured bronze in 11.75 seconds.
Kudratilokhon Marufkhujaev in Uzbekistan led the F37 event to launch male disc, winning gold with a 47.97 -meter throw. Japan Yamato Shimbo claimed the money with 47.94 meters, while Haney in India obtained bronze with 45.78 meters.
India has dominated the t47 high high leap jump event, sweeping the three medals. Ram Pal led the charge with a 1.83 -meter gold winning jump, followed by Chandreh Muljibhai Bagada with money and Banti with bronze.
In the 100 meters T47 for women, Anastasii Soloveva sprinted in gold in 12.55 seconds, while Janani Wickramasingha of Sri Lanka obtained money with 13.25 seconds. The Jayanti Behera of India was snatched the podium with a bronze in 13.62 seconds.
India Kiran Shriram Metkar has delivered a strong performance in the T54 T54 T54 category, winning gold with 22.9 seconds.
As the Grand Prix takes place, these performances testify to the indomitable spirit of para-athletes from around the world, which continue to push the limits and inspire through their incredible exhibitions of skills and perseverance.
