Tyrese Haliburton’s father John will no longer attend the Pacers matches after his clash with Giannis Antetokounmpo on Tuesday evening.
John went on the field after the victory of the series of the Pacers series over Milwaukee and seemed to taunt antetokounmpo while he was standing near the Greek star and held a towel with his son’s face on it.
Antetokounmpo then had John’s face on the other side of the field and the pair had a stormy argument before being finally separated.
Now, according to Shams Charania d’Espn, John will not attend the home games and on the Pacers road for “the foreseeable future” after conversations with the team’s front office.
Antetokounmpo said after the match he thought John was actually a fan before realizing that he was the father of the Pacers All-Star.
“I thought he was a fan, but I realized that he was Tyrese’s father,” said Antetokounmpo.
“It was his father … coming on the ground and showing me a towel with his face as (son),” continued Antetokounmpo before paraphrase John. ” This is what we do. This is what we try. ” ‘
“I have the impression that it is very, very disrespectful,” added Antetokounmpo.
Even Tyrese Haliburton accepted.
“I don’t think my pops were on the right,” said Tyrese after the match, adding that he expected to speak with his father and antetokounmpo of the incident.
