The incredible turn of events sees Bayern Munich finish third in Harry Kane’s first season.

Bayern Munich fell to third place on a dramatic final day in the Bundesliga.

Thomas Tuchel’s side, without talisman Harry Kane due to injury, squandered a 2-0 lead at Hoffenheim to lose 4-2.

The defeat at Hoffenheim was Tuchel's last match in charge

While undefeated Bayer Leverkusen had already been confirmed champions in April, the result meant Bayern did not even finish second, despite having held that place for most of the campaign.

They were overtaken by Stuttgart in the final moments of the season and finished in third place for the first time since the 2011/2012 campaign.

This is despite Kane scoring 36 goals in 32 games in his first season for the German giants, who scored 94 times in total.
