The Houthi missiles trigger sirens in the center of Israel, is offset

A ballistic missile launched in Israel by the Houthis supported by Iran in Yemen was successfully intercepted by the aerial defenses on Sunday morning, a few hours after the rebels claimed to have targeted an American aircraft carrier in the Red Sea.

Israeli defense forces said the missile aimed at Israel had been shot before crossing the country’s borders.

The sirens had sounded through the center of Israel, in several cities near Jerusalem and in certain colonies of West Bank.

Doctors said that a 42 -year -old woman had been moderately injured when she fell significantly in a ditch on the side of Route 1 between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem while looking for a shelter during the alert.

She was taken to Tel Aviv hospital with injuries to members and back, said the Magen David Adom emergency service.

It was at least the eighth Houthi attack on Israel since March 18, when the FDI resumed its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. All the missiles since then have been intercepted without causing significant damage.

Earlier, in a statement on Sunday morning, Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said that the group had faced USS Harry S.
