Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar brought heat to Cinemacon with Paul Feig and the first overview The maidOpening Christmas Day.
“It’s going to a theater, thank God” radiated Seyfried.
“You really have a blow on your hands,” said Feig before the trailer rolls.
We first told you about this project.
Based on the novel by Freida McFadden and adapted by Rebecca Sonneshine, the film follows Millie (Sweeney) A young woman in difficulty who is relieved to make a new start as a maid in Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar), a rich and high -end couple. She soon learns that family secrets are much more dangerous than her family.
In the high level trailer, and for those who do not know the book – who is the killer here? Nina or Millie? Both have blood on their hands during the trailer. Pic takes place in a mansion in the burbs during the winter. It is clear that Millie is unhappy – she holds a broken plate. But Nina burns letters. Andrew – The Hunky husband that any woman would like – stands near an ambulance. It’s very clear, it’s a step-up and more serious in town than Feig’s A simple favor series.
Said Sweeney on the project to project: “I am a big lover of books, I love reading books. The maid was everywhere, Amazon and everywhere Tiktok. I read the three (books) in a week.
“I love it when there are so many unexpected twists and turns, and the characters are imperfect and you love them at the same time. You question your own morality,” said the Euphoria actress.
“We have just wrapped this film. I will never forget the way Nina made me feel. I went to places where I would never have thought of going. The surprises in my own experience by playing this character, were affirmed and asserted a career,” said Seyfried.
“We have reached places where I have never been able to go as an actor. We played wacky shit. And we did not expect,” added the actress.
The producers are Todd Lieberman, Carly Kleinbart Elter, Feig and Laura Fischer.
