A head of San Francisco whose restaurant closed after being accused of being rude with an influencer of Tiktok is now expressed for the first time in viral controversy.

In an interview with the San Francisco Standard, the former co -owner of Kis Cafe, in Hayes Valley, told her disastrous meeting with the influencer of Tiktok Karla Marcotte, who published a video of her “Nightmare SF Restaurant Experience” on July 23.

In his video, Marcotte said that Luke Sung, a chef nominated at James Beard, criticized his number of followers and said it was an “error” for the host of the restaurant to invite him to the establishment.

Sung told Standard that Marcotte entered his restaurant, sat down and did not praise him.

“My great expectation in terms of professionalism failed me again and again – it just brings disappointment,” Sung told The Standard.

Sung said he had then started looking through his Tiktok page and seeing an image of “creamy” spaghetti with steak “too cooked” on the top that Marcot was cooked, making him doubt his capacities as a writer of food.

Sung said he said to Marcotte, “I think there may have been an error. I don’t know if we have the same audience.” He said he also asked if she had done it and her coffee and what they were trying to do.

According to Sung, Marcotte was offended after watching his Tiktok page and said to her husband, who had just arrived, that they were not going to eat at the restaurant. Sung said that Marcotte said to him: “The world of the restaurant is really small. There will be consequences.”

In his video Tiktok, Marcotte said that Sung had asked her if she had done research on the restaurant and if she knew “who we are”. Marcotte replied that she knew it was a wine bar with small bites that did not yet have a website.

According to Marcotte, Sung smiled and said that she had not done her research on the restaurant. He also asked for his tiktok and started watching his videos.

“After scrolling twice, he tells me that he does not think that my videos are at the level he wants his restaurant to be represented,” she said in the video. “He continues by saying that my audience and my disciples are not the kind of people who will be in his restaurant.”

Kis Cafe closed in July after Marcotte’s video became viral on social networks, according to the San Francisco standard. Also sung as a co -owner. It has since reopened its doors under a new name, Bosque, on August 7, under the direction of Eric Lin, in Kis Cafe condominium with Sung.

Sung published apology on the Instagram account of Kis Cafe on July 27.

“I’m really sorry for my actions towards you,” he wrote. “I was condescending, hurtful and intimidating. You did not deserve to feel less than or unimportant, no one does. Anyway, thank you for teaching me a precious lesson in kindness and respect, there is no excuse to do, and I decided that it is time for me to move away from Kis Cafe permanently and in all capacities. “
