Accused Israel Tom FletcherThe United Nations Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, “defamation” for the second time after the rescue chief said that there were 10,000 Gaza border aid trucks, authorized and ready to leave.
“We have 10,000 trucks on the border right now, allowed (and) ready to leave, and we will do everything to bring them and save lives,” Fletcher to Christine Amanpour from CNN on Monday.
When she repeated the incredulous number, Fletcher hosted her head and replied: “Full of food”.
The coordinator of government activities in the territories (Cogat) posted the video on X / Twitter saying: “Look, it’s @unreliefchief with another defamatory lie.”
“There are not 10,000 trucks waiting to go to Gaza. What is, hundreds of help trucks that the UN has not taken up on the side of Gazan in recent days after giving many routes that you can use to distribute the help throughout Gaza.”

This comes less than a week after Fletcher told the BBC that 14,000 Gazan babies died in the next 48 hours unless the aid reaches them.
“There are five trucks just sitting on the other side of the border right now,” he said last Tuesday. “They have not reached the communities they need to reach. This is baby food, baby nutrition. There are 14,000 babies who will die in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them. ”
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs then retracted the Declaration when it was asked to check by the BBC, claiming that it was rather “the imperative to obtain supplies to save around 14,000 babies suffering from a serious acute malnutrition in Gaza”.
