The hairstyle of the stallion of Megan Thee on the red carpet of the Met Gala

Megan Thee Stallion has been a redhead since January, and tonight on the red carpet of the Met Gala, it puts more than simple crimson braids – we are talking about a ponytail raised on three levels. The hairstyle is inspired by the ponytail that Josephine Baker wore during a performance in 1951. Baker was an activist, an artist and the first black actress to play in a film in the 1920s – and she is a major figure for dandyism, the theme of the Met Gala this year.

Megan’s hairdresser, Kellon Daryck, used Tangle Teezer’s Ultimate Detangler brushing for an elegant finish. Deryck described the hairstyle as “strong and powerful”. He also added stones at the front of the style, completing his Michael Kors dress with dazzled silver. Although there are no awards on Met Gala on Monday: Megan, you win for the best hair.
