The Boston Celtics were not particularly challenged during their 103-86 victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday.
For a 2-7 match including the reigning champions, it is probably not so notable, but Boston obtaining an eruption in a game in which Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 33 points on 36 shots.
This is also another reminder of the depth and the offensive dynamics of this team. A given night, there are six or seven different players who could open the way.
It is generally Tatum, but it could be one of the Kristaps Porziņģis, Derrick White or Payton Pritchard. Sunday, it was the guards. White collected 30 points out of 10 shots out of 18, while Pritchard added 19 out of 6 out of 8. For a brief section, even Jrue Holiday has turned around with a small takeover.
There will naturally be a lot of buzz on OKC coming out of this weekend, but Boston will not give up his crown without a fight.
