The greatest Godzilla movie of all time is hidden and it’s a crime

In his heart, Shin Godzilla is about the bureaucracy and bureaucracy of modern government, which the filmmakers seem to view as an obstacle to any progress. As Godzilla emerges from the ocean and begins wreaking havoc in Tokyo, government officials spend hours upon hours debating which conference room to use to discuss a solution to the looming threat, while people on the ground fear for their lives.

While my description may not do the film justice, the striking juxtaposition of government ineffectiveness and deadpan humor throughout makes it the best Godzilla film I have ever seen.
