The Barcelona midfielder Gavi was unable to hide his disappointment after the 1-1 draw on Saturday with Real Betis at La Liga.
The 20 -year -old hit the opening goal at the start of the match in Montjuic, but Betis struck Natan ten minutes later.
Barcelona did her best but could not find a winner, leaving Gavi a frustrated man after the final whistle.
“It was clear that if we won, we would be later. We were likely and we did not take advantage of it. A draw is bitter,” he said.
“The goal could have been completely avoided. These things happen, and we have to improve this.”
Gavi was also asked about his decision to run to Hansi Flick for a hug after marked and explained his thought.
“In the end, I know how much the coach has self-confidence,” he added.
“I don’t care what people say. I feel very confident and I am very happy. ”
The draw means that Barça extends its advance at the top of the four -point liga while Real Madrid had been beaten by Valence earlier during the day.
