The former Oscar boxing champion of the Hoya sparked health problems after being seen a mask to try to make itself appear “younger”.
De La Hoya, 52, has published a video of him on social networks using a form of beauty treatment known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HOT).
Position on Instagram, he wrote: “These lasers only make me younger and more cute … Sorry guys. CO2 Laser + Chamber Hyperbare = Papichulo Sexy next week ”.
The process is to breathe pure oxygen in a pressure chamber, which increases the amount of oxygen available for body tissues.
Consequently, HBOT is offered to help promote healing and to fight infections, which means that it can be used to deal with conditions such as anemia and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Although the procedure is often safe and can pass without incident, some side effects include ear and sinus pain, middle ear injuries, temporary vision changes and the risk of pulmonary collapse, according to the American FDA.

Due to the high concentration of oxygen posing a risk of fire, the body also recommends undergoing treatment in an accredited installation.
The Hoya’s decision to opt for treatment occurs after hitting Joe Rogan after being denied having the opportunity to appear on his podcast.
Last month, Rogan, 57, accused Hoya, 52, of being “out of the rails” while saying that he also had “false abs”.
Responding on Instagram to Rogan, from the Hoya said: “Really? Let’s take a look at your evolution in the past 15 years ”.
He then showed a series of clips from the MMA commentator aging in the past two decades.
In a sharp replica, the boxing star added: “Dude, I’m happy to have cleaned my life and get down from F *** ING drugs”.
He also said that Rogan had a “contract” which forced him to “remain hateful” on the man who was nicknamed “the Golden Boy of Boxing”.
The Hoya’s response intervened after Rogan questioned the legitimacy of his body transformation in a conversation with the Welter weight champion of the UFC, Belal Muhammad.

Rogan asked, “Why did Oscar de la Hoya have false abs? Have you seen that? Oscar de la Hoya has false abs. Something is happening, guy.
“Oscar de la Hoya had no absence of ABS throughout his boxing career. Look at it now. What’s going on there? It is either he has false abs, or he’s going to semi-glutide, one or the other.
“The fact is that his abs do not correspond to his chest or arms. Look how defined his abs are, as they even sit there. It is like the king of the liver.
In August 2024, the Hoya was involved in a controversy on social networks after a published video of him and his partner was withdrawn following a certain number of complaints.
He went to Instagram to share a video of himself dancing with his partner Holly Sonders in what was described by the Spanish store Marca as “a sexual boogie”.
Procedors are filmed in underwear, while the Hoya has only a leopard print thong while the two dance together on the Spanish song’s song Sak Christmas.
