The legend of British boxing Frank Bruno revealed that he was afraid of the worst ” after suffering a fear during a long-haul flight in March.
The 63 -year -old man took the flight a little more than two hours after Heathrow’s departure. He needed a wheelchair to leave the plane and was transported urgently to hospital in Doha, where he spent weeks being treated for a virus.
Two months later, Bruno revealed the dread he felt when he woke up in a Qatari hospital after the event, and he praised the contribution of his PA Paul Hunter, which, according to him, played a crucial role in his survival.
“I’m afraid of the worst because I have never been like that in my life,” said Bruno to Sun. “If Paul hadn’t been there, I don’t think I would have been sitting here to do this interview with you.”
He added: “On the plane, I was just agitated and I couldn’t relax. I got up to go to the bathroom and all of a sudden I forgot what happened to me.
“I’m just blackened. I had a fever but I don’t really remember at all what happened. It was crazy.

Bruno, who won the world heavyweight title in 1995, said that he had never experienced such a thing before and said he had been forced to accept the long recovery process “because my life was at stake”.
