The Pablo Torre podcaster produced a bomb report concerning the attendance of LeBron James at the Kobe Bryant Memorial in 2020 – citing several sources which suggested that he was not there.
It was a long -standing debate if James attended or not the commemorative service after the tragic helicopter accident that killed Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others on board.
And in the midst of his recent quarrel with James, Stephen A. Smith decided to approach the subject, saying that the Lakers star was not at the service of Bryant before apologizing and withdrawing his complaint.
Nevertheless, the initial accusation of Smith led Torre – formerly of ESPN and now of Meadowlark Media – to investigate the complaint on his eponymous podcast, and his report put a serious doubt about the idea that James was present.
Torre cited two “high level” sources involved in the planning of the event, which was present and said that they had not seen James.
“There is no F *** ING. He was there,” said one of them. “If he was there, he was Casper the ghost.”

A complaint surrounding the event, in which James was not photographed, is that there was a kind of directive to leave it of the television show.
However, a main producer of the event, Renato Basile, said Pablo Torre discovers: “The out -of -camera thing is the *** bulls”.
Another moment that the fans stressed as proof that James is there, it was when Diana Taurasi made a joke on the player before appearing to make a gesture towards him in the crowd.
However, Torre looked at the angles of the camera from which James would have seated (based on the gesture of Taurasi), and he was not seen in the crowd.
In addition, Torre confirmed with several sources that Taurasi has never seen James that day.
Several sources also declared in Torre that James was not invited to speak to the Memorial de Bryant. The representatives of James did not make the request for comments from Pablo Torre discovered it and noted that they did not discuss anything in Smith.

Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors was there, just like the star of Boston Celtics with retired Bill Russell. The other NBA players who were on the spot included James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving, Kyle Kuzma and Dema Derozan.
At the time, James’ agent Rich Paul, cryptically said that he had spent the day “in his own space”.
After being widely criticized for his assertion that James was not present at the Memorial, Smith apologized on X.
“My apologies and clarification. I put myself badly at @FIRSttake time 1 today when I suggested that LeBron did not attend the Kobe Bryant memorial. I corrected myself at time 2 when I admitted that it was present, “he wrote.
