A top football club in Romania is under investigation after reports of an ineligible player, with his twin brother posing in his place.

As Marca reports, Edgar Ie, 30, allegedly made his brother play five matches for the Romanian team by pretending to be him.

Suspicions began to arise when Edgar Ie did not speak English, only Portuguese, even though he played in the Netherlands, Spain and France.

If he is found guilty of what he is accused of, Dinamo Bucharest could see eight points deducted.

Former Dynamo president Florin Prunea said: “It seems surreal.”
